School's Out! has executed on the ground, bringing the community resources together at Mary Ford, Fraser and St. Stephen Elementary Schools. School's Out has energy, vision and commitment to see the wonderful Community Learning Center Initiative through. I know that the City of Charleston would not be committed at this stage to Community Learning Centers but for the leadership of School's Out!
Mayor Joe Riley

I believe by our working together with School's Out! We have been able to maximize the potential for our students, their schools and their
communities. School's Out! has experience in collaboration and it works.

School's Out provides a fresh approach which the community will embrace. They have established a track record for collaboration and are organized for the sole purpose of bringing resources, agencies, funders and the community together.

Our community deserves the kind of thoughtful, carefully planned program that School's Out! has developed.

Schools Out! plays a vital role in getting a diverse group of community leaders together to form lasting partnerships. Schools Out! devotes the time necessary to establish these partnerships that we would otherwise only talk about. This organization makes common sense connections among service providers to pave the way for world-class afterschool care that benefits the whole community.

New Morning Foundation is a supporter of School’s Out because, with increasing numbers of working parents, today there is more pressure on communities to ensure that young peoples’ time out of school --- after-school hours, evenings, weekends and holidays --- is enriching, productive time that contributes to their intellectual, emotional and social development. School’s Out has helped residents of diverse neighborhoods, all of whom are vested in their young peoples’ well-being, work together to improve opportunities for young children, adolescents and families.

We feel like the School's Out Program was a intricate component to us getting our afterschool program up and running. The year long planning process helped us to be able to have our program up and running as soon as the funds were available. It also assisted us in getting our community involved and support from key communicators.
The staff from school made the process a very smooth one. They left nothing for us to guess about. They pitched right in and led us on the right path to setting up an effective after school program.
Our program is now almost ending it's first year and very are extreamly proud of it. Parents, teachers and students look forward to participating daily. We have seen improvement in grades, attitudes and overall student achievement. We have also seen a reduction in discipline problems. We haven't documented any data yet, but we know it is successful.
